It began with the first helical veneer tube wrapped around a core.

In times of mass produced merchandize and ever-present middlemen, there is a sense of missing authenticity. What motivates us, is to invent, design and handcraft products with proper character using natural materials and employing contemporary skills.
We hope that part of the inspiration and pure sense of aestethic satisfaction we get from making Aptumit lamps will find its way to others along with the light filtered through veneer spirals. Reading a good book in a nicely lit environment brings such a pleasure. Enjoy it!
